Latrigg Landscapes

We’ve recently returned from a fabulous two week holiday in Keswick. Lots of walking, lots of photography: wonderful! Both the shots below were taken from Latrigg, above Keswick. The first is of Keswick and Derwenwater. The second…well the second is of the storm across the valley at sunset. Very dramatic, very spectacular. One of the people with us remarked that it was quite a sight, adding “we’re going to get wet in a minute”. Helen didn’t hear it. I ignored it. Guess what! Within a minute we got wet. It was a bit like having a bucket of water thrown over you, except maybe you’d have got less wet if you’d had a bucket of water thrown over you! It was a 15 minute walk/run/stagger back to the car. Wilf (our Westie) hated it, bless him. Clobber off, washing machine on. We had to drink wine until it finished. Didn’t put the light out til 2 am. It’s a hard life…
